Baba Olam

Baba Olam is the DJ and production project of Jonas Nephtali. Born in Nairobi, raised between Kenya, Sri Lanka, the Balkans and France. Eight years on stage in Strasbourg, heading to Israel in 2026.

Co-founder of La Finca, a collective of indoor, outdoor and mini-festival events, from 2018 to 2022. Then resident and operations director of the Blue Note from 2022 to 2025.

The sound covers a wide arc: melodic and progressive house, deep, organic, dark disco, indie dance, through to hypnotic techno and trance. At the core of the collection: Red Axes, Simple Symmetry, Moscoman, Megaphonim, Manfredas, Autarkic and Acid Arab, the Disco Halal and Malka Tuti galaxy.
